{"id":34,"date":"2020-03-30T12:23:29","date_gmt":"2020-03-30T11:23:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/heavenathome.website\/?page_id=34"},"modified":"2020-03-30T12:23:29","modified_gmt":"2020-03-30T11:23:29","slug":"aromatherapy","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/heavenathome.website\/?page_id=34","title":{"rendered":"Aromatherapy"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em><strong>&#8220;The way to health is to have an aromatic bath and scented massage every day.&#8221; Hippocrates 400BC<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The term aromatherapy as we know it today was first coined in 1937 by\n the French chemist and perfumer Rene Maurice Gattefosse who burnt his \nhand very badly whilst working in his laboratory in 1910. He plunged his\n burnt hand into a vat of pure undiluted lavender oil, which not only \nimmediately eased the pain, but helped heal the hand without any \ninfection or scarring. Gattefosse subsequently became very interested in\n the properties that essential oils inihibited.
