For many years I worked in a hospice where holistic treatments\n such as aromatherapy and massage were regularly used to ease symptoms \nsuch as pain and nausea and depression.  Experiencing the benefits that \nholistic therapies bring, and how they complement conventional medicine,\n inspired me to retrain as a therapist.  After qualifying, I worked in \nthe same hospice&#8217;s Therapies and Rehabilitation centre helping patients \ngain relief from the symptoms of their illness.<br>\n<br>\nOf course, we do not need to be unwell to experience the health boosting\n benefits of complementary therapies.
